30/12 THE STABLE

Sooo, we spent two nights in this amazing house in France. It was a new construction but totally reminded me of a big stable. I loved it so much I seriously couldn't stop taking photos. Especially when the sun rays shone through the huge windows in the morning and everything was clean and clear and full of contrasts it was beyond beautiful! Obviously, my favourite room was the one with the big bookshelfs and cosy armchairs - if there are any goals I have for my future home than a room like this. Anyways, I hope the photos can give you a slight impression of the house. I'll be off then, browsing design magazines and tumblr to plan my own house, bye.

26/12 DW X CHRISTMAS

A big thanks to Daniel Wellington for this lovely christmas present!! I chose the Classic Sheffield Lady which is super chic and timeless but because of its size a bit boyfriend-style and I love it. And black, because, how NOT black? Though I really like the brown, too. I am a huge fan of watches, I love to wear one as a piece of jewellery and I think they make you look super sophisticated just like glasses haha. If you have some christmas money left and not know yet what to get have a look at the online shop - with the code holiday_cocomathilde you'll have 15% off until January 15th!

20/12 IDA

So I was on a coffee-and-christmas-shopping-date with my friend Ida last week and we took some photos, how could we not, she is SO photogenic! It was so much fun finally taking some portraits again and even though the sky was grey and started to turn dark they turned out to be quite bright and sharp. I love the colours and I think this door we found was just perfect matching her hair. Was so nice seeing her again! :)

I thought about doing some photoshootings again, like this one, or these for a little money, also for friends or something, so if you're living aorund Düsseldorf and interested feel free to contact me: cocomathilde@gmail.com

18/12 THE FAIR CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

So, I've never ever done a post like this but oh well, I hope you like it!!

You probably know Daria Daria, a super-cool blog written by Maddie. I've found her blog some months ago and it's actually one of the few blogs I truly enjoy reading! Her style is great and she is such a nice girl but the best thing is that she really really cares about the ethical background of running a fashion blog. She tries to buy as much as possible fair-trade, she cares about the production of every item she wears and that's not the most common thing among bloggers! She also lists many online shops and brands (here) that sell products produced under fair working conditions and sweatshop free. I spent some time clicking through these online shops and found so so many nice and not too expensive things (though I personally like to spend a little bit more money for good causes!) and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share them with you - in case you are still looking for some nice presents or grandmas won't stop asking for your christmas wishes.

So here we go, a fair wish list with sustainable super-pretty products that give you the perfect opportunity to avoid buying stuff produced under terrible working conditions and that you probably don't need anyways! And even if you're not that much into these items or it's just too complicated for you to get them you still might wanna re-think your shopping behaviour and stick to more green and fair products the next time you go shopping - because with a little bit of effort you'll find so much more of it than you would think. Besos! Xx

Besos! Xx

16/12 BLOGPRESENTATION // LONDON DIARY

It's beyond time to show you London Diary, a blog written by one of my best friends who is currently living in London. She posts about her life in this great city, about fashion and her outfits, her personal hotspots, where to go, what to do and what inspires her. Her photos are pure and natural, everything is in my favourite colours and she got an eye for details and nice things. Say no more, just go and check out her photos and work!

08/12 PHOTOBOOKS

It gets dark around 3 PM so taking photos has been quite a challenge the last week. I managed it to take some today, not that interesting but I wanted to show you these two photo books my dad brought from the Paris Photo. One is The Open Road - Photography and the American Roadtrip featuring various photographers, which is just super cool to flip through getting fernweh to travel around the US. The small black one is Night Walk by Ken Schles who is taking the viewer on a walk through downtown New York as he saw it. So anyways, I think photo books are the perfect christmas present for friends, family, everyone, who doesn't love owning them? They look cool laying casually around on coffee tables and bookshelfs and they are the best alternative to series and movies on cold and rainy winter evenings! Another fun book to get is the Life's A Beach Photo Book by Martin Parr - so much fun guaranteed!

-

Einmal The Open Road - Photography and the American Roadtrip, mit Fotos verschiedener Fotografen, einfach super cool zum durchblättern, angucken und Fernweh bekommen.

03/12 HOME

I'm home, I'm back in Germany, left Barcelona on sunday. Everything is so different, the streets are empty, the trams are empty, I never realised it's so quit here. I slowly have to get used to the fact that there is nothing going on, no one sitting on the streets, chatting, shouting, no music, no noises, just cold wind and enlightened windows. I'm still happy to be home for christmas time, for long walks, movie nights and christmas cookie baking. // Here are some last shots for you I took on the weekend, the city is all ready for christmas and it suits it perfect, everything is even prettier than before, not too kitschy, just appropriate for a magical December. // I wish you a wonderful start into christmas time, do it like me, eating all the christmas cookies totally without feeling guilty so that all the hours at the gym will be for nothing.. ;)
